CFC BELIEFS ARE AND STATEMENT OF FAITH
THE HOLY BIBLE — We believe that the Bible alone is the sole and complete revealed word of God, errorless, sufficient for salvation, inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:15-17
1 Thessalonians 2:13
TRINITY — We believe that there is one God Creator of all things and Saviour, who has revealed Himself in three distinct persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
JESUS CHRIST — We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His conception by the Holy Spirit, His birth of the Virgin Mary, His real but sinless humanity, His substitutionary and atoning death as a sacrifice for Sin, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into Heaven as the only and eternal mediator between God and man and His coming again in power and glory.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT — We believe that the Holy Spirit is eternally, completely God; that He is a person showing the attributes of intellect, sensibility and will; that He proceeds from the Father and the Son. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
SALVATION — Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ. We believe that the atoning death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide justification and salvation for all who believe; and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.
THE CHURCH UNIVERSAL — We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.
THE LOCAL CHURCH — We believe each local congregation is a group of baptized professing worshippers, who have organized themselves under leadership to bring glory to the Father through living and proclaiming the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ, being empowered and led by the Holy Spirit. That every local church has the biblical mandate under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
